We’ve delivered 4000 bags!
Congratulations and THANK YOU for helping us provide more than 4000 Bags since we founded Princess Alli Foundation in 2015!
On Tuesday, September 27 the Junior High Youth from Family Bible Church in Marshall, MI helped pack food and toiletry care packages for our Hospital Care Package Project!
In 1/2 hour, this amazing group of teens packed 160 food care packages to bring to Sparrow Hospital, and 180 toiletry care packages for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Bronson Children’s Hospital, and Hurley Medical Center!
Each food care package contains a bottle of water, a granola bar, a pack of crackers or rice crispy treat, and of course chocolate! The toiletry care packages provide a wide range of personal hygiene products including shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, lotion, a toothbrush and toothpaste. We are humbled and honored to announce our participation in the US CuddleCot Campaign Initiative, a grant writing campaign organized and led by Stories of Babies Born Still (S.O.B.B.S.).
From the Campaign’s Facebook Page:
From the founder of SOBBS and as a mother of a stillborn child thank you so much for taking the time to review the information on the CuddleCot.
For those not familiar with the unit a CuddleCot is an in room cooling unit that is the size of a small humidifier disguised inside of a Moses basket. Research has proven having a unit available to parents while they are in the hospital encourages families to spend time with their baby. This gift of time allows precious hours for bonding, pictures, plaster molds to be taken and other family members to come and meet the baby before the natural changes that occur in death become more apparent. In addition the baby can now stay in the room with the family the entire hospital stay if the family so desires. While we know this might not be for everyone it does allow families a choice.
Choices become so important very, very important when it seems as if all are taken away and suddenly families go from planning a future to a funeral in the blink of an eye. Every moment spent is a precious gift and as a grieving parent you never know what your heart may need to continue its healing journey weeks, months or even years down the road. Across the board almost all the parents we spoke with wish they would have spent more time with their baby. All the parents who were offered used a CuddleCot are all are very grateful it was available to them. They credit its use as being a solid, healthy way to begin their mourning and grieving journey.”

By partnering with the US CuddleCot Campaign Initiative, Princess Alli Foundation hopes to help secure grants to purchase CuddleCots for Michigan Childrens Centers, in memory of our sweet Allison Ruth. This Campaign is close to our hearts because access to a CuddleCot when Allison passed would have given us time with her that we were not able to have. We want to give that gift of time to other families.
If you are interested in volunteering with Princess Alli Foundation and our CuddleCot Project, or if you are interested in working with us to secure a grant for your hospital or children’s center, please fill out the following form and we will contact you!
It’s a HUGE DAY at Princess Alli Foundation! Today we delivered our 3000th Care Package!
We are completely humbled by the amount of support we have received for our Care Package Project, and so so very thankful! We truly couldn’t have hit this milestone without each and every one of you coming along side us!
Here’s to 3000 more!

After Alli passed away in January 2015 we knew that we needed to find a way to honor her memory and help other families that were fighting for their sick children. It was one year ago this week that I presented the idea of a memorial foundation for our sweet daughter to a small group of friends and family, and we set in motion plans to begin bringing care packages to Sparrow Health System just a couple of short weeks later.
We are quickly approaching the first week of May and the anniversary of that first delivery and plan to celebrate it with the delivery of our 2,500th care package! I can hardly believe how much of an impact we have been able to have in just a year!
THANK YOU to all of you that have donated towards our care package project, our start-up fund, or our holiday campaign! THANK YOU to the crafters, the post forwarders, the FB likers, and the prayer warriors! We couldn’t have done any of this without you! Thank you for helping us build Allison’s legacy!
Happy Anniversary Princess Alli Foundation! Here’s to an exciting 2nd Year!

The Princess Alli Foundation had an amazing time at the 2015 Olivet Fireman’s Festival!
Our goal for participating in this year’s festival was to raise awareness of our mission to support the families of children with illnesses in memory of Allison Ruth Russcher. We were able to do so much more than that!
We are excited to announce that the generous people of Olivet helped us raise enough money to sponsor another day for our Holiday Care Package Campaign! We are ecstatic to be one day closer to our goal of providing ELEVEN DAYS of extra-special holiday care packages to the families with inpatient children over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays!
THANK YOU to everyone that stopped by our booth to learn about the Princess Alli Foundation and our projects. Thank you to those that purchased bracelets, drinks, and snacks from us – and even sent your friends our way to support us throughout the night! Thank you for encouraging us and letting us share our amazing Allison with you.
And a big THANK YOU to the Olivet Firefighter’s Association for hosting such an amazing event! We can’t wait to join you again next year!
Did we meet you at the festival? We’d love to hear from you how we did! Please feel free to comment below, and don’t forget to LIKE us on Facebook to help spread our mission!
