This past week we wrapped up our 2nd Annual Holiday Care Package Project with a Christmas Eve delivery to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI, and a Christmas Eve Eve toiletry delivery to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI!
This year we were able to provide another 440 food care packages, 150 toiletry packages, and additional food items to Michigan children’s hospitals. We are so very humbled by the generous support this project has received again this year! We are also very grateful for our friends at Michigan State University and the Upward Bound program for helping us pack all of our holiday bags!
THANK YOU to those of you that donated to, spread the word about, or prayed for our foundation and our care package projects! We look forward to partnering with you again in 2017!
In 1/2 hour, this amazing group of teens packed 160 food care packages to bring to Sparrow Hospital, and 180 toiletry care packages for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Bronson Children’s Hospital, and Hurley Medical Center!
Each food care package contains a bottle of water, a granola bar, a pack of crackers or rice crispy treat, and of course chocolate! The toiletry care packages provide a wide range of personal hygiene products including shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, lotion, a toothbrush and toothpaste. We are completely humbled by the amount of support we have received for our Care Package Project, and so so very thankful! We truly couldn’t have hit this milestone without each and every one of you coming along side us!
Princess Alli Foundation is excited for the opportunity to partner with Hurley Medical Center to provide Toiletry Care Packages to families at their Children’s Hospital! Our first care package delivery was made on July 9, 2016!
Generous donations from the communities of Flint and Flushings, including families at Flushings United Methodist Church, have made this expansion possible!
Our goal is to create a sustainable program that will allow us to provide toiletry care packages to families with children at the hospital that may have arrived with little or no personal belongings.
We are in need of the following sample/trial size items for our toiletry bags:
Body Wash or Bar Soap
Individually Wrapped Laundry Detergent Packets

After Alli passed away in January 2015 we knew that we needed to find a way to honor her memory and help other families that were fighting for their sick children. It was one year ago this week that I presented the idea of a memorial foundation for our sweet daughter to a small group of friends and family, and we set in motion plans to begin bringing care packages toSparrow Health Systemjust a couple of short weeks later.
We are quickly approaching the first week of May and the anniversary of that first delivery and plan to celebrate it with the delivery of our 2,500th care package! I can hardly believe how much of an impact we have been able to have in just a year!
THANK YOU to all of you that have donated towards our care package project, our start-up fund, or our holiday campaign! THANK YOU to the crafters, the post forwarders, the FB likers, and the prayer warriors! We couldn’t have done any of this without you! Thank you for helping us build Allison’s legacy!
Happy Anniversary Princess Alli Foundation! Here’s to an exciting 2nd Year!

The Princess Alli Foundation had an amazing time at the 2015 Olivet Fireman’s Festival!
Our goal for participating in this year’s festival was to raise awareness of our mission to support the families of children with illnesses in memory of Allison Ruth Russcher. We were able to do so much more than that!
We are excited to announce that the generous people of Olivet helped us raise enough money to sponsor another day for our Holiday Care Package Campaign! We are ecstatic to be one day closer to our goal of providing ELEVEN DAYS of extra-special holiday care packages to the families with inpatient children over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays!
THANK YOU to everyone that stopped by our booth to learn about the Princess Alli Foundation and our projects. Thank you to those that purchased bracelets, drinks, and snacks from us – and even sent your friends our way to support us throughout the night! Thank you for encouraging us and letting us share our amazing Allison with you.
