Our Commitment
The Princess Alli Foundation is dedicated to strengthening family-centered inpatient care across the United States. We believe that when a child is hospitalized, supporting the family is essential to supporting the child. Our building projects and grant funding initiatives are designed to uplift caregivers during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Our vision guides every partnership:
“Our vision is to promote family-centered inpatient care nationwide by providing essential support to caregivers during hospital stays. We are committed to partnering with hospital programs that offer long-term solutions for parents, as well as collaborating with organizations that uplift and strengthen families facing medical challenges.”
What We Fund
We provide grants to U.S.-based hospitals, outpatient care centers, and nonprofit organizations (such as Ronald McDonald House–type programs) that directly support families with a child receiving inpatient medical care.
Our funding focuses on tangible, project-based improvements that create comfort, dignity, and practical support for caregivers.
Eligible Projects Include:
- Renovations or upgrades to family spaces
- Family lounges
- Overnight rooms
- Shower or hygiene facilities
- Quiet rooms or respite areas
- Practical-use amenities for caregivers
- Laundry facilities
- Kitchenettes or meal-prep areas
- Storage solutions for long-term stays
- Enhancements that improve the caregiver experience
- Comfortable seating or sleep accommodations
- Technology access (charging stations, workspaces, etc.)
- Wellness-focused spaces for parents
Past Projects
Our previous partnerships have included:
- Installation of on-site laundry facilities for caregiver use
- Family room remodels to create more comfortable, functional spaces
- Upgrades to overnight accommodations for parents staying bedside
Funding Guidelines
To ensure our resources create meaningful, lasting impact, we follow these guidelines:
1. U.S. Organizations Only
We partner exclusively with organizations located within the United States.
2. Project-Specific Funding
We do not contribute to general operating funds. All grants must be earmarked for a defined project or service.
3. Preference for Defined Projects
We prioritize projects with:
- A clear scope
- A specific cost
- A start and end date
- A measurable benefit to families
Examples: room remodels, equipment installation, space upgrades.
4. Consideration of Ongoing Service Projects
While our preference is for defined, one-time projects, we will consider ongoing service initiatives (e.g., weekly deliveries, recurring caregiver support programs) if they directly benefit families of inpatient children and include a clear budget and impact plan.
5. Family-Focused Impact
Every funded project must directly support the parents or caregivers of a hospitalized child. Projects that primarily benefit staff, outpatient-only populations, or general hospital operations are not eligible.
Application Process
Organizations interested in partnering with the Princess Alli Foundation may submit a project proposal that includes:
- Organization information and mission
- Description of the project
- Total project cost and funding request
- Timeline (start and end dates)
- Expected impact on families

Our team reviews applications on a rolling basis and prioritizes projects that create long-term, meaningful improvements to the caregiver experience. Please email your proposal to princessallifoundation@gmail.com for consideration.
Our Family Assistance Program
In addition to building projects, we offer direct support to families through our Family Assistance Program. This program provides practical help to caregivers navigating extended hospital stays, ensuring they feel seen, supported, and cared for during their child’s medical journey.
