Princess Alli Foundation, like all for-profit and nonprofit organizations, has faced challenges this year due to the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. Here is what we’re doing to help flatten the curve and support local families.
Stay Home, Stay Safe
We have been doing our part to help “flatten the curve” by staying home! We have temporarily stopped volunteer bag packing opportunities to eliminate the concern for viral contaminants on our care packages.
Toiletry Care Packages
Due to the shortage of hygiene products for purchase and concerns with virus transmission in the mail we have had to pause our nationwide hospital toiletry shipments (50 States Challenge deliveries). As supplies become available we will begin ordering and packing toiletry care packages and will start contacting past partner hospitals to have shipments pre-approved. Volunteer packing opportunities will be limited until a health-screening procedure can be put in place.
Food Care Packages (Sparrow, Bronson, DeVos)
Due to hospital visitor restrictions and concerns with virus transmission we have had to pause our local (MI area) hospital food care package deliveries. These will resume as soon as there is a safe way for us to do so.
We Miss You!
We hope that everyone in our community stays safe and healthy during this trying time, and look forward to serving you – safely – in the near future!
With much love,
Melanie Russcher
