July Updates
We have had a busy few weeks here at the Princess Alli Foundation! Here are our July Updates! We applied for, and received, our 501(c)(3) public charity status at the end of June. With our determination letter in-hand we have been able to begin working on grants for different projects on our dream list! We will continue looking for new funding opportunities this summer. We have been busy preparing for the Olivet Firefighters Association’s Annual Fireman’s Festival, which is Friday July 24 and Saturday, July 25. Supporting Families: The First Two Weeks
It’s been two weeks since the Princess Alli Foundation began supporting families at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI. What an amazing experience these first two weeks have been! On May 6 we delivered our first 40 care packages. Our RNICU families received water bottles, granola bars, peanuts, a pack of gum, and gel window clings to decorate the cribs and isolettes. We also provided a basket full of toiletries for the moms that spend their days in the unit with their newborns. PEDS and PICU families received granola bars, peanuts and gum in their bags. Why the difference? PEDS and PICU families have access to “pantries” that Sparrow Hospital generously stocks for them. These […]
Care Package Donations <3
Our care packages are the heart of our mission to support the families of children with illnesses, so we are thrilled that it has only been a few short weeks since we introduced the Princess Alli Foundation on our Facebook page and already we’ve received several food and toiletry donations! We’ve been able to support 80 families at Sparrow Hospital this month, and we’ll need your help to ensure we can continue to fill 40 bags each week!
