2019 Holiday Care Package Project
We are excited to announce details for our 2019 Holiday Care Package Project! Once again we will be providing Thanksgiving care packages to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing and Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. We will also be providing Christmas Day support to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids and Hurley Children’s Hospital in Flint in addition to Sparrow and Bronson – 480 care packages total! Your tax deductible gift of $100 will help provide 40 families with support. Group/Corporate sponsors will receive mention on social media, our webpage, and within the care packages themselves. NICU Throwback Monday
A little #throwbackMonday to our Sparrow Hospital days with Allison. This particular visit was about a week long after a scary CPR event at home. Over the course of the week I was able to leave our hospital room just a handful of times – a couple of quick showers, a couple of runs down the hall for coffee or pop from the machine, and a few chance meals from the cafeteria when a Child Life volunteer was able to sit with Alli. I wanted to publicly thank all of you who came out tonight to pack care packages on such short notice. Moments like tonight, where such an overwhelming amount of support appeared with hours notice, just reaffirms to me how special Allison is and what an important thing this is that we do in her memory and honor. We packed all of our Christmas care packages in a matter of 36 minutes with this amazing group!! That has to be a record!! 2017 Holiday Care Package Project – Sponsorships available!
Our 2016 Holiday Care Package Project was a huge success! We were able to provide more than 400 food care packages to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI thanks to the support of our generous sponsors! We were even able to provide extra food items to our friends at Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo! In 2017 we will once again be providing Holiday Care Packages for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, and are excited to be planning Christmas Day deliveries to Bronson, DeVos, and Hurley in addition to Sparrow Hospital! 2nd Annual Holiday Care Package Project
This past week we wrapped up our 2nd Annual Holiday Care Package Project with a Christmas Eve delivery to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, MI, and a Christmas Eve Eve toiletry delivery to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI! This year we were able to provide another 440 food care packages, 150 toiletry packages, and additional food items to Michigan children’s hospitals. We are so very humbled by the generous support this project has received again this year! Family Bible Church Junior High Service Project
On Tuesday, September 27 the Junior High Youth from Family Bible Church in Marshall, MI helped pack food and toiletry care packages for our Hospital Care Package Project! In 1/2 hour, this amazing group of teens packed 160 food care packages to bring to Sparrow Hospital, and 180 toiletry care packages for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Bronson Children’s Hospital, and Hurley Medical Center! Each food care package contains a bottle of water, a granola bar, a pack of crackers or rice crispy treat, and of course chocolate! The toiletry care packages provide a wide range of personal hygiene products including shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, lotion, a toothbrush and toothpaste. To […]
